Why Axiom Verge is One of the Games I'm looking forward to the Most

I just got a PS4 and I have been looking into what games I want to get for it, and I keep coming back to Axiom Verge. I'm a huge Metroid fan, always have been, I want a new game, but at this time Nintendo has no real plans to make one as far as I can see, they did say they are looking into it, so for now I have to look elsewhere, and that brings me to Axiom Verge. The one man team working on this game must have a love some classic Nintendo games, because it shows in this game, it has the exploration from Metroid, the shooting plays like Contra, and there are many more it takes elements form. In closing if Nintendo doesn't want my money then I will give it to Sony and Tom Happ, then get a game that looks great as of now.
